I guess when you get married, after the honeymoon phase is over, things settle down into a more even daily grind. I worked, of course, to try and help pay those bills and at the time, he was new to the area but working as well. He branched off into his own little business and with my help, he did rather well.  He loved working, really and made it a point to become a regular work-a-holic.  After we had been together for a while, things started to change, but honestly, I never took note of the changes, or when I did, I just brushed them off like a bad day.  When he began coming home in the middle of the day and taking a shower, dressing and going back out to “give an estimate for a new job” I never looked at that but anything but.  I should have paid more attention to it though, because that was one sign, but another sign was that it was happening more and more. As time went on, and he began coming in late as well, that was another sign….oops, I just didn’t see it.  Another sign he left me was that he started guarding his cell phone more closely.  Now, here’s another sign that he gave me but I still didn’t catch, and that was he started wearing alot more cologne and he even started carrying it in his work truck.  How could I have been so blind that I never saw the signs of his cheating? I know now by looking back, but then again, I was so much in love and I trusted him with my whole heart and soul, and that’s why I never saw the signs that were staring me right in the face.
